A Cup of Tea

I will start to blog… There is a sort of rush to blog, nowadays, which seems to be similar to sheep stampede run. I was thinking quite long, whether it befits to blog or not, as I have very conservative mindset. Finally, I came up to the decision that this time I can be carried away by wave of blogging fashion. However, not to be preoccupied by sending meaningless, shallow posts with empty words and biased opinions, I will always try to "empty my cup" beforehand.

A Cup of Tea
Nan-in, a Japanese master during the Meiji era (1868 - 1912), received a university professor who came to inquire about Zen.
Nan-in served a tea. He poured his visitor’s cup full, and then kept on pouring.
The professor watched the overflow until he no longer could restrain himself.
“It is overfull. No more will go in!”
“Like this cup,” Nan-in said, “you are full of your own opinions and speculations. How can I show you Zen unless you first empty your cup?”
